Announcing Dine with Pride Dinner featuring Chef and Activist Bill Smith

Join us on May 4, 2018, to celebrate Pride with James Beard nominee and LGBTQ Rights Activist Chef Bill Smith as he brings his southern comfort food to Oxford for a very special night at City Grocery.

Smith will design a one of kind menu for this amazing event featuring culinary collaborations by John Currence and Vish Bhatt and desserts by Austin Agent.

Make your reservations, tell a friend, and bring your appetite as you support a fundraiser for the Isom LGBTQ Arts, Culture, and Community Development Fund hosted by City Grocery and John Currence.

About Bill Smith:

Bill Smith is known for his Chapel Hill restaurant, Crook’s Corner and food writings. His Seasoned in the South: Crabs & Oysters cookbook has been featured in such publications as the  New York Times and Food and WIne.

He has received many accolades from his peers for his culinary skills and words, but on May 4th we want you to help us honor him for his activism on befhalf of LGBTQ communities in the South and the work he has done to battle discrimination surrounding immigration. As the theme for this Pride makes clear - “the beat goes on” and Smith’s activism efforts capture that continued rhythm and spirit.
